Today I wish you connection.
I don’t know of any other season where the whole world seem to be trying to make connections more than the Christmas season. Families are reconnecting. Friends who haven’t been in touch for a while get together to celebrate.
When Mary found out she was carrying the promised child, she went to visit her cousin Elizabeth. Both women were facing unusual circumstances and could relate to each other. The scripture says the baby Elizabeth was carrying jumped when Mary arrived (Luke 1). The two infants made a connection in the womb that would last a lifetime.
As you’re preparing for the upcoming holidays, I pray that you find a way to connect with people you haven’t seen in a while. Reconnect with estranged family members. I also pray that you will find time to reach out to someone who is alone this season. It’s true what they say. No man is an island.
